We have the largest 3D glass engraving machine in Europe allowing us to offer personalized glass engraving in large quantities when required, keeping the costs down for our customers, and laser engraving glass in individual sheets up to 3.2 meters long and 1.4 meters wide. 2D and 3D sub-surface glass engraving
3D laser glass engraving is made inside the glass or acrylic not on the surface; it is not laser engraving on glass. The engraving can be flat or 3 dimensional.
The machines consist of one focused laser beam which moves in the three axis, up, down and across. It has a fixed focal length. The power is at the end of the laser beam which is what makes the millions of tiny fractures inside the glass reproducing 3D designs, logos and even photographs. The laser passes through the surface of the glass, leaving it untouched, to engrave inside at the laser beam’s focal point. Through programming we can determine the depth or thickness of the engraving and its position within the glass, close to the back or front or in the middle.

Colour printing onto glass
We have invested this time in the latest colour printing technology allowing us to print in full colour directly onto the glass surface to add new options for personalising our range of glass trophies.
The colour ink is sealed with a UV lighting system to the surface of the glass. We usually print onto the rear surface of the glass to allow the colour to shine through the glass. This is another good reason to insist on optical quality glass for your trophies as it is perfectly transparent and allows the true colours to shine through. (Jade glass is to deeply coloured with its green tinge to work.)
We also combine colour printing and 3D engraving as can be seen in the Saint-Gobain trophies which makes a spectacular glass trophy or personalised glass plaque.
3D glass photo engraving
From a simple image, whether it be a person, plant machinery, building or a warship we can convert it to 3D and engrave it in 3D inside any glass trophy of your choice.
